Bio

Sarah Benson-Amram is an Associate Professor at UBC in the Department of Forest Conservation Sciences and the Department of Zoology. She is a behavioral and cognitive ecologist with a focus on urban wildlife. In her research, she investigates why some species are able to persist and even thrive in anthropogenic environments and what role cognition may play in their ability to do so. Her current focus is on urban carnivores, specifically raccoons, skunks, and coyotes.
