Michelle Tseng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, Department of Zoology and Biodiversity Research Centre at UBC. Her lab group (bugsandplankton.com) investigates the effect of changing environments on insect and aquatic communities, with a special focus on warming temperatures. They use field and laboratory experiments, syntheses of published literature, and natural history collections to investigate ecological and evolutionary responses to climate and habitat change. The group’s research is grounded in ecological and evolutionary theory and they address both basic and applied questions.
