Tara Martin is a Professor in the Department of Forest and Conservation Sciences and the inaugural Liber Ero Conservation Chair at the University of British Columbia. She is a pioneer in the field of conservation decision making – combining ecological data and models with decision science to bridge the gap between research and on-ground conservation action and policy. Her research is shaping conservation action in Canada and abroad and seeks to inspire transformational change.
