Bio

David Boyd is an Associate Professor in the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability and the former United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment. His primary focus is on identifying laws and policies that will accelerate the transition to a just and sustainable future, both in Canada and across the world. Areas of particular interest include environmental justice, environmental rights and responsibilities, and the rights of nature.
