CCL Application

Applications for the CCL Graduate Student Training Program open on Wednesday, May 6 and close on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Results are expected in early August.

To apply to the CCL fellowship, please submit the below components via Qualtrics (link below).

  1. Applicant information
  2. Name and contact information for the current or proposed graduate supervisor
  3. Name and contact information for the non-academic partner (current or proposed)
  4. Name and contact information of two professional referees
  5. Application narrative (Please answer the below questions, and combine them into one PDF document, named LastName_FirstName_CCL. Do not include your name in the header of your document)
    • a) Describe your proposed thesis research internship and its relevance to conservation challenges. Explain your research design, methods, and/or planned outcomes, including how they will be co-developed  with your partner organization(s), and how your research will be relevant and useful to them.(max 650 words)
    • b) Please describe your relevant research and/or work experience (max 400 words)
    • c) Please address how participation in CCL will support your development as an interdisciplinary conservation scientist, and how your participation will enable you to grow as a conservation practitioner and potential leader. You may use the CCL Learning Objectives to guide your response, but you do not need to be bound by these. (max 400 words)
    • d) CCL is committed to fostering an inclusive conservation community and values diverse lived experiences and ways of knowing. Please describe how any lived experiences, community involvement, contributions to equity and inclusion, or practical engagement with conservation and resource management challenges have informed your perspective and approach to your research. (max 400 words)
